About Us
If you ever visited the sub-blog of the same name at the Catholic Daily website (not recommended unless you have very good anti-trojan software) then you would know us very well. It is because loading that sub-blog became dangerous, to not only authors but readers as well, that this new site began.
Greetings and peace to all who read this page!
My parents christened me Catherine and my wonderful husband supplied me with the surname of Cavanagh. We have been blessed with a son, who is taller than us both, with whom we are undertaking a broadly classical home-schooling adventure.
My son and I experienced WYD Sydney as pilgrims and prior to that the three of us were a host family for Days in the Diocese. Since those heady days I have been a regular contributor to www.xt3.com .
Where this blog will go is in God's hands and under the patronage of St Francis of Assisi. Reading the Lives of the Saints has imparted to me a lot of wisdom over the years, and that should show through on a regular basis. Our life on earth is successful if it culminates with entry into heaven. The Lives of the Saints show us how to get there, but even more than that, they are very active in heaven obtaining graces to help us with our struggles on earth. The Saints certainly take our requests for their intercession seriously. In particular the Saint we chose at Confirmation plays a huge role in our lives. In each Eucharistic Prayer we ask that God might grant us a share in the inheritance of the Saints, that we might be made worthy to enjoy their society in heaven. The more we know about the Saints, the more we begin to understand just how much we are asking of God in those Eucharistic intercessions and the more we are challenged to emulate their lives.
It is a continuing joy to research the lives of the Saints, and in doing so to get to know them better. Even those Saints whom I thought I knew well have shown me so much more about their lives.
A quick word about Comments: There have been many comments coming through that have been positive, and they are all gratefully received. However unless a comment refers in some way to the content of the blog page, it is very difficult to tell whether it is genuine or whether it is spam. For this reason, only comments that do refer to the content will be displayed.
Should you find links that do not work, please let me know about them as well.
Most of these blogposts are done late at night, so it is very easy for some poor grammar and sloppy spelling to escape my notice. If you do find a gaffe like this, please send a comment and let me know, and I'll gratefully correct it. Weebly.com (for some unknown reason) doesn't provide a spell-check option!
For some reason it is a constant battle removing inappropriate ads, which is a widespread issue across many sites with religious content. In order to give Google Adsense (when I get it connected on this site) some data to work with, it would be deeply appreciated if you could click on appropriate ads when you come across them - for example links to webpages with good Catholic content, Catholic books, Scripture Study, pilgrimages to Catholic shrines, Piety goods like rosary beads, and similar. If you can remember to do the same on other websites with religious content, you will be a big blessing to many others.

From time to time new resources will be added to the various Resource pages and new publications to the Publications page. If you would like to be notified by email when new things are added please let me know via the Contact Us page.
